My name is Stephen King. I have been animator, professionally working in the industry, for over 8 years now. Ever since I was a young kid I loved movies, theatre and plays. After acting in plays and theatre companies all throughout high school I found myself wanting to still be able to create characters and bring them to life, while having to work as a waiter/actor. That's when I found animation. I became enraptured by it's ability to let me project anything I wanting to become or create onto something else. That same ability to create the unknown from scratch keeps me excited every morning when I go to work. I recently finished working at ILM on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Previously, I spent a year in Australia at Animal Logic, working on Happy Feet. Being able to explore the world through our art form is one of the many aspects I love about this line of work. I have also worked at companies such as Frantic Films and Rainmaker Entertainment working on projects like Cats & Dogs 2, the Tree of Life and The Nutty Professor. I feel that I am very versatile and able to handle any type of work required. I am detail oriented and often try to infuse my animation which as much subtleties as I can to make the animation as authentic as possible. I have considerable experience in both Softimages XSI and Maya and am quite comfortable in the animation aspects of both program. I hold both Canadian and United Kingdom passports, so am able to work any where in the EU and Canada without problem. I have received visas from both the USA and Australia in the past and do not see that being a problem in the future. Here you will find my demo reel. Enjoy!
